Survey on Medication Shortage in Europe


Upcoming, nurses survey on medication shortageMedication shortage, we see it far too often in the nurses clinical practice, and it is expected to occur more often. In collaboration with @Medicine-for-Europe, this Spring a  scientific Survey with Medicine for Europe will be launched to idetify a number of aspects but abouve all: 
- Identify the root causes of the shortages
- In addition, we will aim at analysing the perception of the different stakeholders on the cause of the shortages
- We will identify how the different stakeholders would like to be informed about the shortages and which information they require
- The survey should be able to tell us which type of medicines are more frequently in shortage and why
- Lastly, we might analyse how shortages can be prevented or mitigated.

Facebook and Nurses Code of Ethics

Information on health and all related to personal health and vulnerability is high sensitive, on sickness, therapy, profession and so on this is a fundament everyone understands. And for that reason -to emphasis on that- Nurses have signed by their graduation a code of coduct and ethics before getting their diploma and certificates. All Nurses codes on ethics in the world are inspired and/or partly copied from the ICN Code of Ethics. The ICN Code of Ethics for Nurses, most r ecently revised in 2012, is a guide for action based on social values and needs. ESNO representing this 'One Nurse'

"How many nurses does ESNO represent", this a far too often question addressed in the European bubble, in the parliament, European Institutes, NGO's and industry, but to nurses in this European enenvironment like   ' ....asking a fish to prove the wetness of water... '. It is such an obvious question but somehow difficult to answer, but we do our best. The basics on a response shows how difficult it is to speak in exact numbers ESNO represents,  like it is for more of ESNO members. One of the members have about 40.000 or even double, and others have also in the same number but we cannot count them. Too often we receive the question '....how many nurses do you represent.... ' but this is a quotative question.
