In this ‘Year of the Nurse and Mdwife’ we would like to facilitate your engagement regarding specialist nursing in European healthcare towards 2030' with a lot of activities and opportunities to engage, we are going now able to shape all those activities prepared last year. 

 Therefore, we kindly remind you to register for the ESNO congress taking place in the heart of Brussels on 20-2-2020.

To strengthen the Specialist Nurses’ footprint in European Healthcare, our congress focuses on the importance of harmonized education and recognition within the European context. Aligned with our aim to build a robust framework to enable Specialist Nurses to be recognised across Europe, we recommend national authorities to invest in a Specialist Nurses Health Workforce and to implement cross border Regulatory Frameworks towards a legally embedded and harmonized position of the Specialist Nurse in each Member State. Without your input we will not reach here.

We like to see you participating by sharing your opinions, experiences, lessons, and recommendations regarding the Specialist Nurse’s profession and its recognition in Europe. This is why we have composed  a true Specialist Nurses Congress Programe in a way that enables you to contribute both in general as well as more themed discussions. All too often discussions about a Specialist Nurses Health Workforce have been taken place without the input from nurses. 

Participating in our congress strengthens your role as influencer and helps ESNO to bring across your message.

Prior to the conference, there is a free event ‘Touch of Brussels for nurses’ as a prelude to the ESNO congress, getting to know the dynamics of European Healthcare better and to explore opportunities for you to network.

Please be aware that the early bird registration is open untill January 10 €195, including full access to the programme, lunch, coffee and tea breaks, and networking. Facebook and Nurses Code of Ethics

Information on health and all related to personal health and vulnerability is high sensitive, on sickness, therapy, profession and so on this is a fundament everyone understands. And for that reason -to emphasis on that- Nurses have signed by their graduation a code of coduct and ethics before getting their diploma and certificates. All Nurses codes on ethics in the world are inspired and/or partly copied from the ICN Code of Ethics. ESNO, Nurses Guide on AMR and Vaccination

In process, the ESNO Nurses Information and Education Guide on Anti Microbial Resistance (AMR) and Vaccination   Regarding  the current role of nurses in combatting antimicrobial resistance (AMR), ESNO regards that thus far there had been a lack of involvement of specialist nurses on this issue and that there is great potential to increase involvement in the areas of antimicrobial stewardship, surveillance of the incidence of drug-resistant infections and education of patients on this topic.
